Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle history stretches back almost 1,100 years. In 914AD Ethelfleda, daughter of Alfred the Great, ordered the building of a 'burh' or an earthen rampart to protect the small hill top settlement of Warwick from Danish invaders.  Warwick Castle has state rooms and great rooms, towers and ramparts; all with their own story.

Warwick Castle gardens are stunning and beautiful.  Steeped in the history of the Castle owners, many gardens were established by promanent designers of their time.

There are many special events and re-enactments throughout the year.
