Description
The back facade and grounds, as opposed to the front of the University Colleges Cambridge are known as The Backs.  This is an area of the City where the various Colleges back onto the river Cam and give a different perspective to the University buildings.  The grounds stretch both sides of the river between Silver Street bridge and Magdalene Street bridge.  You will see Queens', Kings', Clare, Trinity and St John's Colleges as well as Trinity Hall.

King's College grounds are open to the public, and from the bridge you can get a great view of the college and its famous chapel. The River Cam runs beneath the bridge, and this is a great spot to watch punts leisurely sailing past the college.
