Description
Ely Scout District in Cambridgeshire covers the City of Ely, with its magnificent Cathedral, and surrounding Fenland towns and villages. It is one of 10 districts in Cambridgeshire. Ely Scout District consists of 6 different Scout Groups and a growing Explorer Scout Unit for over 320 6 to 18 year old boys and girls.

A wide range of activities are provided for those aged 6 years upwards to ensure Scouting is both challenging and fun for the young people and adults alike.  Many leaders have additional qualifications which, together with County Activity advisors, allow Ely to offer extra activities such as archery, abseiling, kayaking, hill walking, International events, Duke of Edinburgh's Award and many more adventurous pursuits.

Ely is also twinned with Ribe, in Denmark, and has regular contact with Ribe's Scout Group.

Ely Scout Groups are located in:

·         1st Ely (South of the City)
·         2nd Ely (North of the City)
·         Haddenham
·         Littleport
·         Sutton
·         Witchford
