Peterborough Green Wheel Cycle Route

The Peterborough Millenium Green Wheel was developed as part of Peterborough's millenium celebrations.  It is a network of cycle paths, footpaths and bridleways that provides a safe and continuous route around Peterborough and has 'spokes' linking the outer circle to residential areas and Peterborough City Centre.

The Peterborough Green Wheel cycle route is 54 miles and will ultimately link all of Peterborough's tourist sites and attractions.  There is also a sculpture trail which provides landscape artworks and a Living Landmarks which encourages the creation of local landscape features like mini woodlands, ponds and hedgerows. 

You just need to follow the Green Wheel information boards along the route and they explain the area's flora, landmark events, historic and literary figures and local places of interest.
