Description
Get adventurous and try some skydiving or parachute jumping. We have four different sky diving and parachuting experiences available to the complete beginner - all of which are fantastic fun and conducted within the safety of a controlled club environment by our highly experienced and dedicated British Parachute Association Instructors!
Tandem Skydives - from up to 13,500 feet!
Our most popular course - and one that is guaranteed to get the adrenaline flowing! You will exit the aircraft securely strapped to the front of your Instructor who will control the free fall element of your skydive, open the parachute for you at around 5000 feet, and then steer your parachute safely back to the landing area for a soft controlled landing. If you're looking for fun and excitement then this is it! You may also elect to have a free fall cameramen jump with you to video or photograph your jump.
"Two day" Square Parachute "Static Line" Course with jumps from 3500 feet! A course for those wishing to learn how to jump on their own. First jumps are made from 3500 feet using a static line - a system which automatically deploys your main parachute as you fall away from the aircraft and are the first stage of a training programme that could lead to you obtaining your licence. Having completed a minimum of six static line jumps (learning the art of falling away from the aircraft whilst practicing pulling a dummy rip cord handle) you could be ready for your first free fall. Short 3 second delays first, then 5 second delays, then 10 second delays, then 15 second delays, and so on, each time building up your experience and jumping from higher and higher altitudes. In a minimum of 18 jumps you could obtain your licence and qualify as a skydiver free falling on your own for approximately 70 seconds from altitudes up to 13,500 feet deploying your parachute to be open at 2000 feet.
"Two day" Accelerated Freefall "Level 1" Course - with jumps from up to 13,500 feet A course for those wanting to learn how to skydive on their own from the word go! Level 1 involves an initial day of training followed by your first skydive with two instructors from an altitude of up to 13,500 feet. Having completed level 1 you'll then be given the option to sign up for the rest of course and go on to obtain your licence. This involves completing levels 2 to 8 (which can be done in 7 jumps) plus a further 10 jumps on your own - known as consolidation jumps. Once qualified jump prices greatly reduce and you'll also be able to start jumping with other people from altitudes up to 13,500 feet free falling for approximately 70 seconds before opening your parachute at 2000 feet.
"Two day" Round Parachute "Static Line" Course - with jumps from 2,200 feet!
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to jump from an aircraft at and float silently back to earth safely suspended under a large open parachute now's your chance to find out. The first day of this two day course will be spent training on the ground. You'll learn how the parachute equipment works, how to leave the aircraft in a stable face to earth position, how to land safely using the proper techniques and much, much more! Initial jumps are made from 2,200 feet using a static line, a system that automatically deploys your main parachute as you fall away from the aircraft. In short... you'll receive the best training possible by our highly experienced and fully qualified British Parachute Association Instructors.
