Description
Hamerton Zoo Park pened as a conservation sanctuary in 1990, and set in rolling open countryside known as the 'Huntingdonshire Wolds', there are 15 acres of parkland to house the vast array of animals.  Especially designed enclosures with windows at child height give unrivalled views of the most popular animals, meerkats, mongooese, marmosets, lemurs and gibbons.  Possums and sloths in the nocturnal house, plus snakes and cockroaches.

The colonies of animals, some endangered, some familiar and some virtually unknown or extinct in the wild, are thriving at Hamerton.

Hamerton Zoo Park also offers you the opportunity to meet the animals personally on a one to one basis;  with a keeper of course!  For the majority of animals you have to be 18 years or older, and you still wont be able to touch all animals though, but they do include cheetahs, tigers, lemurs and reptiles.  They do have a special children's one where you can get close to the reptiles, under adult supervision.  These are at additional cost and you should contact the Park to find out prices and times.
