Go Ape - Thetford Forest

A brilliant activities playground, Go Ape at Thetford Forest in Nottingham gives children the opportunity to experience aerial trekking activities high above the forest floor on a high wire assault course including extreme rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides.   Spend a fun-filled three hours of activity up in the trees, trekking from tree to tree via assorted rope bridges and tarzan swings.  Courses comprise five or six seperate zones with exhilarating zip slides bringing you back to the forest floor at the end of each section.

Set in Thetford Forest, this Go Ape course has recently lengthened the zip wires by about a third and the longest one is now 140m - zip wire heaven!

Several new obstacles have also been added - a Tank Trap crossing on site 5 and a Turtle Crossing on site 3.  Sites 4 and 5 have now merged to form a super-site which now has 16 obstacles, one even goes over the zip line!

These activities excite both children and adults alike.   Full safety instructions are provided and children must be 1m 40cms or over and 10 years old.  Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Thetford Forest also has mile upon mile of way-marked trails for all fitness levels and maps for orienteering and walking can be purchased on site.   Some trails are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Mountain bikes can be hired from Bike Art, tel 01842 810090.  There are various cycle trails for varying ability levels from the calm and relaxing to the hair-raising and extreme.  Cycle trail maps are available on site.

The children's Play Area has fabulous giant play scultpures and a challenging free low ropes adventure course, plus a maze and a mini toddler assault course.   Fun activities for children of all ages.
