Description
The Fenland & West Norfolk Aviation Museum in West Walton, Wisbech houses aircraft, including the cockpit from a MIG 29, a Boeing 747 and a Jumbo Jet cock-pit simulator, uniforms & militaria, weapons and armour.

One of the things that the volunteers do is partake in the long and ardous task of aircraft recovery from crash sites throughout East Anglia.  Once permission is given to dig the site the volunteers carefully extract the remaining parts of the aircraft which will be cleaned and if ultimately displayed in the museum.

The items span from the beginning of powered flight, through the Great War and World War Two, Korea, Vietnam and both Gulf Conflicts, right up to the latest in the world of aviation.

Note :  The Fenland & West Norfolk Aviation Museum is open on bank holidays between Easter and September.
