The official name is
'Cambridge Town & County Cycling Club' but it is usually known as
Cambridge Cycling Club or just Cambridge CC. The Cambridge Cycling Club is the oldest (it dates back to 1901) and largest in Cambridgeshire. Although many of the members own mountain bikes and enjoy mountain biking, Cambridge CC concentrates on promoting road and track based riding (Cambridge has its own mountain biking club,
Mutts Nutts - Cambridge MTB Club.
In 2001 Cambridge Cycling Club was 100 years young.
Because of the Cambridge Cycling Clubs heritage and its size it can offer a wide range of road riding activities for the sporting and racing cyclist.
If you enjoy, or think that you might enjoy fast(ish), non-competitive and/or racing cycling, Cambridge Cycling Club is the one for you. New or potential new members are encouraged to come along to our Sunday clubruns where you can join us for a very pleasant ride, ask about the club, get cycling advice and sample the delights of the local cafés. Those new to cycling may find the rides difficult at first but, if you persevere, after a few weeks you will find your fitness has increased considerably. Whatever your standard, you will not get left behind as we go at the pace of the slowest rider. For those who are new to cycling but wish to have a go at racing, our evening time trials offer the perfect way to start.
