Description
A morning stroll with a difference Cambridge’s colleges will open their doors to Local Families with the annual Bridge the Gap Charity Walk in September.

This non-competitive event is Fun for all the Family with activities en route for Children to participate in.

The route is pushchair friendly and visits 10 colleges and the Scott Polar Research Institute Museum where walkers can explore the Arctic by participating in a treasure hunt or enjoy the famous penguin sketches by Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton. If that isn’t enough, tour guides will be standing by to talk to walkers about each college’s history.

This is a 4.5 walk which raises money for Arthur Rank Hospice, Teenage Cancer Trust Appeal and Press Relief, the News Community Fund.

Pre-registration usually starts around 9.30 and is £8 (in 2008) and children under 16 come free. For more information or to register call: 01223 723115 or visit: http://www.bridgethegapwalk.org (under construction)
